Namma Metro Expansion Updates Changing Passenger Travel Along the Airport Line
Namma Metro's Phase 2B Blue Line is changing how people travel. It is transforming the busy airport route. Commuters from central city areas often faced heavy traffic jams. This mostly happened on the crowded NH-44 expressway.
To fix these delays, BMRCL has sped up work on this 39-kilometer line. This project includes seventeen elevated stations. These stations run straight to Kempegowda International Airport. Mid-2026 reports show that over 52.5% of the civil work is done. This fast progress will cut travel time. It will bring more predictable travel across North Bangalore.
